Ansel Adams

I chose this picture taken by Ansel Adams because i love the texture of the water, it almost looks like a field rather than water. I love how the mountains in front are pitch black. then the mountains in back are capped in snow and almost blend in with the sky. Ansel Adams was born in 1902 in San Francisco California , and died in 1984. His parents were in their 40's when Ansel was born, so he grew up reserved and very intellectual. He had many problems with school, with possibly being dyslexic, and being made fun of. So before he was sent to private school, he was home schooled by his aunt and father. After earning his "diploma" Music became a big part of his life. He taught himself how to read sheet music and how to play the piano. When he was in his twenties he tried to turn his music into a career. Though he didn't, it was a big part of his artistic talents. In 1916, he began his obsession with Yosemite National Park. He spent as much time as he could up there, even becoming a keeper of the club’s LeConte Memorial Lodge. Ansel's "Monolith, the face of half dome." was one of his best photographs. Taken in 1927, at Yosemite National park, California.

Found Panoramics

I loved this picture because it reminded me of my grandpas farm in Brownsville, and the clouds are really beautiful. Without panoramic you would either only capture the right side, which is nice but it wouldn't capture the depth of the mountains. With just the left side it would just be the dark mountains, and no color contrast. Together they make a beautiful panoramic!

I found an old panoramic, where they just take 3 pictures and over lap them. It's very well done for being 3 separate pictures. This is of Moscow, Russia. I like the contrast between the old panoramic and the new ones.

Good evening sir, how are you today? Lovely weather we're having. Oh good heavens where are my manners, my name is Reginald Rusty-Barrelton. I am the duke of the junk yard kingdom. My duties to the realm are to protect and serve, i am a very highly respected barrel. Though i am an older barrel, i can still put up a feisty tussle. Do you have children? I have three little barrels, Winston, Marie, and Carlton. They're just the cutest little things. My wife, Charlotte and i are going on a vacation to the Hamptons this weekend, you must join us. I'm not taking no for an answer! I could take you to the pub, and drink you under the table! That's my secret talent, don't tell Charlotte, she'd have my head for drinking again. She says i get unruly when i am intoxicated. What she doesn't know won't hurt her right? Anyhow, I hope to see you again friend, i must be on my way to the country club meeting. Cheerio good sir!

Favorite Picture Post

This is a red panda, native to the forests and mountains of Asia. Their main source of food is bamboo, but enjoy the occasional bug or berry. They love napping in trees and only weigh about 10 pounds. I love this picture in particular because of the color contrast, the red, white, and black. I think these animals are so cute and cuddly i'd love to own one and name it Carla.
